Where did they hide that darn spare tire?
Yesterday was the beginning to my 4 day weekend and I couldn't have been more excited. Or so I thought. Alexis and I decided to splurge by hitting up the local Subway for not only a delicious dinner but a brief visit to our dear roommate Kadi. After ordering we drove back to La Jolla in my Sable. Upon arriving to the parking lot we heard a strange noise coming from my car. We parked and soon discovered the lack of air in the back right tire. Completely flat I tell you. I have no idea what I ran over but it sure did the trick. Lucky for me I have a fantastic home teacher, named Phil, who actually knows something about cars. I have had plenty of experience with young men pretending they know about cars but really haven't the slightest idea what they are talking about. Needless to say, I felt pretty groovy with a real man to my rescue. Who knew there was a spare tire in my trunk! They do such a good job of making it look like nothing could possibly fit in that trunk. Moving on, Phil changed my tire and did a fantastic job! Not that I know the difference from a bad tire change... this is my first one! So this morning I drove to Les Schwab and they took care of the poor tire for only $21. Again I don't know if that is a good or bad deal for a used tire but Phil was impressed. In return of his selfless service I made him Mimi's Brownies and let me tell you, mmmm! Flat tire #1: success! And as a bonus, I know where the spare is for my next encounter with a flat!
